Starting in 2011 projects developed in Romania in order to promote Korean culture, Korean cinema & Korean music will be run under the non-profit NGO Romanian-Korean Intercultural Association.
RKIA will coordinate programmes like Korean Language Class, Cooking Workshop and other thematic workshops (artistic, musical, etc.). RKIA will also implement a series of public cultural events in order to promote Korean Culture, Hallyu.
The purpose of the RKIA is to support and promote Korean culture by organizing various projects and activities in different fields: cultural, educational, artistic, etc. and also promoting intercultural exchanges between Romania and Korea.
RKIA aims at:
Running educational projects on Korean culture & civilization, history, cinema, cooking and Korean Music (traditional & K-Pop)
Promoting cultural, artistical, musical activities
Initiating and developing cooperative relations with other NGOs and relevant organizations in Romania & Korea
Achieving a bond between youth, families and associations in Romania and Korea
Supporting scholarships for Romanian students and teachers interested to master Korean Studies
Promoting translatations from/into Korean
Assisting and offering consulting services to members, while supporting the training for specialists in Korean Studies in Romania and other individuals working or studying in fields related to Korea
